Answer: Our servers are located at 'The Planet' Datacenter in US. Answer: You can only host one single website or domain name on each plan unless it is a multi domain plan or reseller plan. If you need to host additional domains, you will need to order additional plans or upgrade to a reseller plan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: Do you offer 24/7 support ? Answer: Yes, we do offer 24/7 email support for all our clients. We have a support and monitoring team around the clock to manage the servers and support you with your requirements. We don't offer phone support at this time to support our low prices. Answer: The new website is setup within 4-6 hrs of successful payment after registration.But if you have registered a new domain then it takes 12-24 hrs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: What directory should I upload my database to ? Answer: You should upload your Access databases to the DB folder in the FTP root and the SQL database should be exported to our server using Enterprise Manager. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: What are your nameserver addresses ? Answer: Our regular nameserver addresses are ns1.bignetservers.com ns2.bignetservers.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: Why do I see only your temporary web page even after uploading my files ? Answer: By default sequence of home page search in IIS will be _holding.html, _holding.asp, index.asp, index.htm, default.asp, defautl.htm ...etc. So, in case your default home page is other than the one specified in IIS settings then it will automatically point to _holding.xxx. Please delete the _holding.xxx page from the wwwroot directory of your site and it will point to your default web page. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: How can I access my Control panel ? Answer: Most Internet service providers (ISPs) and web hosts allow you to receive 'but not send' emails using your domain name. Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) allows you to send email addressed from your domain name, making it an ideal complement to your existing POP3 account. For example, with SMTP, you can send email as yourname@yourdomainname.com. Answer: No, If you send spam that advertises services on our servers, our network will be blacklisted, meaning any ISP that subscribes to a spam filter service, will not be able to receive emails from our network. Answer: By default, your account includes a "catchall" email box where all emails sent to any address at any of your domains will be stored unless you have created a separate POP3 mailbox for that address. If you want different people to retrieve email for different addresses, you can create such additional mailboxes through your Control Panel. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: What is email forwarding ? Answer: Once your domain name is active worldwide, you can receive all email addressed to your domain such as support@yourdomainname.com, billing@yourdomainname.com etc. You may also forward any email addressed from one account to another account. For example, you could forward sales@yourdomainname.com to your AOL email account. Database -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: How do I connect to MS SQL Server 2000 ? Answer: Install MS SQL 2000 on your local Windows machine. Go to client networking utility and add alias/server name: yourdomain.com , network libraries: TCP/IP and port: 1436 Register the online SQL Server in Enterprise manager and then this server would appear on your enterprise manager, Right click and CONNECT and then create your SQL tables. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: How to get more space for my database ? Answer: We allocate 20 MB space for each MSSQL database account, if you need more space it can be ordered by emailing our sales department at sales@bignetservers.com and requesting extra space. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: I want to learn how to use the MySQL database. Answer: If you have access to phpMyAdmin on your old server, login there, and click the database name on the left frame. Then, scroll down on the right frame and select all the tables you need, and check the "structure and data" and then check "send", and click Go. It will start a download to your computer (after a few seconds delay) of your whole database structure and data, you can then either cut and paste all this information after you've downloaded it into the phpMyAdmin program on our server. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question: What is MySQL ?
